The late ’90s Hot Rods series from Johnny Lightning featured “authentic replicas of real street rods.” Detroit racing legend, Danny Scott, is represented in the series with his 1966 Chevy Chevelle Pro Street. Underneath the enormous hood scoop sits a 638 cubic inch engine which could propel the car down the quarter mile in six seconds at an unbelievable 220 miles per hour!
Although I personally don’t understand creating color variations of an “authentic replica”, over five releases of this series, the Chevelle could be found in purple, as you see here, magenta, gold, yellow and baby blue.
